How Braces Work

Brackets & Archwires

  • Small brackets are bonded to each tooth and connected with an archwire.

  • The wire guides the teeth as they shift into position.

  • Patients can choose the colour of elastics for the brackets.

Braces Treatment Process

Free Consultation

Getting Braces Placed

This painless visit typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

  • Brackets are bonded with a special adhesive

  • Archwires are placed

  • Colored elastics will be added for stability

  • We’ll show you how to care for your braces before you leave.

Adjustment Visits

Every 4–8 weeks, you’ll return for progress checks and adjustments.
Each appointment brings you one step closer to your finished smile

Removing Braces

Once treatment is complete:

  • Brackets and wires are gently removed

  • Teeth cleaned and polished

  • You’ll get to enjoy your brand-new smile!

Retention Phase

After braces come off, retainers help maintain your new tooth positions so your results last a lifetime.
